Kirk Davis

BIOGRAPHY


Kirk Davis studied filmmaking at Columbia University, receiving an MFA. He wrote and directed the feature film Screen Door Jesus, which won numerous festival awards including Best Feature, Best Cinematography, and Best Score at the 2003 Hamptons International Film Festival. It was reviewed favorably in Variety, LA Times, Austin Chronicle, Rotten Tomatoes, and many others. It is available on DVD from Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com, Netflix, and other outlets. His second feature film, Welcome to Academia, stars James Le Gros, Callie Thorne, Laila Robins, Matt Servitto, Jess Weixler, and Dan Bakkedahl. He's been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 2002.

He has also written, produced, shot and/or edited a large number of corporate and industrial video projects for Fortune 100 clients such as Goldman Sachs, and universities such as Columbia and Arizona State, including two award-winning documentaries broadcast on PBS.
